Opening Convocation

The Hartwick community will gather on August 22, 2024 at 9:30 a.m. in Lambros Arena of the Binder Physical Education Center to welcome new students during this year’s Opening Convocation. The time-honored ceremony marks the official start of the academic year.

The ceremony will included remarks from President James Mullen, Faculty Speaker: Professor of Political Science Laurel Elder, Student Speakers: Amelia Williams ’26 and Runyararo Chaora ’25.

Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost Laurel Bongiorno and Vice President for Enrollment Management Bryan Gross will also welcome the new class.
