Upon completion of some mathematics courses, you may be invited to join the New York Nu chapter of the National Mathematics Honorary Society, Kappa Mu Epsilon (established 1931). The requirements for membership in Kappa Mu Epsilon are as follows:

Completion of at least three units of Mathematics (excluding Statistics and Pre-calculus); a 3.0 minimum GPA in all classes; a minimum GPA in Mathematics classes (Calculus, Linear Algebra, and 300-level or higher); 3.50 in 3 classes; 3.25 in 4 classes; 3.00 in 5 or more classes.

Members are allowed to wear honor cords in the Kappa Mu Epsilon colors at Commencement.
