True Blue Weekend 2024 A Celebration of Legacy and Community

FROM SEPT. 20-22, hundreds of alumni, parents and families, friends and the Hartwick community came together to celebrate True Blue Weekend, reconnecting with campus life and creating new memories. The weekend blended cherished traditions with exciting new events, honoring Hartwick’s spirit and lasting legacy.

The festivities kicked off Friday night at the Presidential Kickoff Party, where attendees heard from President James H. Mullen, Jr., who reflected on Hartwick’s enduring impact.

“This place has been a great institution since the day you walked across the stage and graduated from here,” he said. “It remains a magnificent institution today and will continue to be a great, meaningful and respected college for generations to come.”

Following his speech, the night sky lit up with a dazzling fireworks display, marking the start of the weekend’s celebrations.

The rest of the weekend featured a variety of significant events, such as the Nursing Distinguished Alumni Induction ceremony, the Annual Alumni Awards presentation, and the Athletics Hall of Fame Induction ceremony, all of which celebrated the remarkable contributions and accomplishments of distinguished alums.

The weekend also featured the unveiling of the Margaret L. Drugovich presidential portrait, the Pine Lake Fall Festival, the Golden Jubilee Reunion and the 50-Year Club Induction Ceremony.

We look forward to seeing you next year: Sept. 19 – 21, 2025.
