Building on our tradition of excellence, we set out to ensure that a Hartwick education is future focused and challenged ourselves to prepare each student to excel. This includes careers, life, community and global experiences. Many graduates have benefited from their Hartwick experience; FlightPath ensures that all students have access to these opportunities.
FlightPath is a bold approach to individualized learning unlike anything else in higher education. Born -out of deep reflection and extensive research, it gives every student the freedom and tailored support to define and pursue their unique directions. Students are mentored by accomplished guidance team members who combine real-world learning and experiences with broad competencies designed to position a student for success.
While FlightPath is student-centered, it is also community-based. We help students discover where they belong, from shared spaces with friends to meeting influential alumni and industry leaders at networking events. We create opportunities for students to connect and tap into peers, professors and mentors. This supportive climate creates a tight-knit community, making the individual even stronger as a result.
Funding Priorities
REAL-WORLD EXPERIENCES
We will further develop programs like the Hawk Career HOP, in which sophomores travel to explore their professional futures — at no cost. We will add destinations and engage more students to visit industries in action, network with alumni, and tap into career mentors.
J TERM EXPERIENCES
Hartwick’s distinctive J Term courses are life-changing for many and a hallmark of a Hartwick experience. We need to ensure that these experiences are available to all students, not just those who can afford them. Help us create more faculty curated experiences and open young minds to new worlds of possibilities.
FLIGHTPATH UNRESTRICTED
Our success and career coaches form guidance teams which mentor students within and outside the classroom, providing an even greater array of connections, curriculum, resources and advice.
