This is your Flightpath
Discover your strengths, learn essential skills and prepare for your career with FlightPath — your future-focused and well-balanced education at Hartwick College.
Partners on your FlightPath
Get where you want to go with your Hartwick Guidance Teams. As partners on your FlightPath, they’ll help you identify and grow toward your goals — offering career insights, academic advice and personal support throughout your journey. Each year, you’ll work with your Teams to build on what you’ve learned as you prepare to launch a successful career.
Success Coach
From day one, you’re matched with a Success Coach who will be there to support you through all of the growth and exploration that happens during your first two years of college. They play a key role as you adjust to college life, helping you develop a strategy for success as you explore your personal and academic interests, and connect with campus resources.
Faculty Advisor
Among all your dedicated Hartwick professors, you’ll have a designated Faculty Advisor who stays with you throughout college. Together, you will choose the best classes to advance your interests, navigate change, answer questions, and keep you on track as you complete your degree.
Career Coach
You’ll work one-on-one with a specialist in career guidance, someone who will offer practical advice tailored to your goals. They’ll help you identify research and internship opportunities, introducing you to alums and employers, and with applying to graduate schools and securing jobs.
Alumni Mentor
In your junior and senior years, you’ll be connected with alumni mentors who will help you secure internship, service learning and job shadowing opportunities. Alumni mentors play a vital role in your success: from providing advice and perspective, to serving as a job shadow or internship host, and coaching you in pursuit of your goals.
