I chose Hartwick because it felt like the kind of place where I could find opportunities and really belong. The campus has a strong sense of community—you always see people saying hello and chatting with each other. It feels close-knit, like a place where people genuinely connect.

One memorable lesson I’ve learned from clinicals so far is just how valuable it is to be open to learning from others. Having the chance to learn from experienced nurses has been so rewarding, as they share not only their knowledge but also their practical insights from years of hands-on experience. The nurses I’ve worked with in clinical have been incredibly supportive and willing to teach, which makes a huge difference. Their guidance shows me that in healthcare, being teachable is just as important as the skills we develop, and I’m grateful to have mentors who are committed to helping us grow as Hartwick students.

My involvement with clubs and different jobs has made my Hartwick experience incredibly rewarding and engaging. Working with different clubs and organizations has not only allowed me to help build a stronger campus community but also given me the chance to make lifelong friendships. These connections have enriched my college journey in ways I never expected. Being part of these organizations has also opened doors to important meetings where my input is valued and can make a real difference on campus. Having a “seat at the table” in these decision-making spaces has allowed me to fully embrace the Hartwick experience, shaping it in ways that will make it even better for future students.
