Her husband, Richard Aradine ’67, says, “We just liked Hartwick when we were students there. Unfortunately, we haven’t been back to the campus very frequently since we graduated because we have lived in other parts of the country, but we really enjoyed our time there. As my wife said, it was a very good foundational education that allowed us to progress and have successful careers in the healthcare field.”
The Aradines met on Oyaron Hill on Friday, January 13, 1967. Ironically enough, they were both taking a “Marriage and Family” class at the time.
“Hartwick College is honored to receive such a generous gift from Janet and Dick,” said James Kellerhouse, vice president for institutional advancement and external affairs. “This scholarship gives future Hartwick students the opportunity to pursue their aspirations of becoming a nurse and caring for humanity. This gift paves the way for highly successful careers in healthcare, just like the Aradines had.”
