Since launching One Wick Worldwide, members of the Hartwick community around the globe have stepped up to take the challenge. From working on Habitat for Humanity projects to giving blood, the year-long initiative is inspiring volunteers from all corners of the world.
September is Hunger Action Month – a month where people all over fight hunger. It's a month to spread the word and take action on hunger. Hartwick students Eber Jallah ‘26 (pictured above left) and Maya Wollen ‘26 (right) have joined One Wick Worldwide to support others—especially around food insecurity.
As part of One Wick Worldwide, President Emerita Margaret Drugovich and her partner, Beth Steele, are inspired by their dog, Crickett, to support animals.
"Crickett was a rescue. She shows us so much love and we want to pass that on by supporting animal nonprofits such as humane societies," said President Drugovich.
It's easy to find a humane society near you to support. Will you join us?
The Classroom Connections Program connects alumni and friends of the College to the classroom -and other settings- to share their experience and professional insights with our students.
Volunteering to be a speaker, either virtually or in-person, is another form of mentoring. Classroom Connections speakers introduce students to a range of professionals and perspectives, from recent graduates and early professionals to accomplished mid-level and senior level experts. Do you have insight, experience and/or expertise you would like to share with students? Let us connect you with faculty and staff looking to bring professional perspectives into their classrooms, on the playing field, and other student activities.
Fill out the Registration Form to help us make a match between what you can offer and the needs of our programs. Thank you!
With TrueBlue Connect, students have opportunities to network with and consult Hartwick alumni who are eager to share advice about their professional experiences and offer suggestions for students as they launch their careers.
