Wellness is the condition of good physical and mental health, especially when maintained by proper diet, exercise and habits.
Our mission is to promote and maintain those conditions that will encourage students to realize their optimum physical, emotional, intellectual, and social well-being. To achieve this goal we practice preventative healthcare and assist students to become educated consumers of healthcare.
The Counseling Center is also housed in the Perrella Wellness Center. Together we strive to meet the wellness needs of the Hartwick community.

Hours of Services:
Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m. (closed weekends)
Doctor on staff Tuesdays from 12:15-2:00 pm to see students by appointments.
Nurse Practitioner on staff Monday -Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. by appointments.
We encourage appointments but will accomodate walk-ins needing urgent care. Scheduling an appointment reduces your waiting time and anables us to see patients more efficiently.

Confidentiality: All contact with Perrella Health Center services is strictly confidential. Medical information can be released only with the student’s written permission.
Insurance: All full-tme students are required to have health insurance. If a student does not have health insurance they will be required to purchase the college insurance plan. For more contact Student Accounts at 607-431-4306 or at the website below.
For diagnostic testing performed off-campus, medications prescribed by Perrella Health Center and referrals to off-campus medical providers:
College insurance: Cost is billed to College inurance plan for payment
Parent Insurance: Cost for diagnostic testing are billed to parent insurance plan.
Medication costs are charged to student's College account unless they elect to fill precription off-campus.
*For students covered under their parent plan, it is extremely important that you confirm that your student has coverage while away at College.
Students should have their own insurance/prescription card to carry with them at all times.

There is no fee to see a healthcare provider or counselor. (Note: nominal fee charged to student accounts for certain in-house laboratory tests and procedures.)
Transportation: Non-emergent medical transport on & off campus provided by student Health Sqaud-call 607-431-4120 Monday-Friday 9am to 5 pm. Campus Safety provides transport after hours and on weekends.
Student should contact their RA or Camp Safety at ext. 4111 if they have questions about medical care when Perrella Health Center is closed.
When Perrella Health Center is closed, medical care can be received at Fox Hospital Emergency Department at 607-431-5000, FoxNow walk-In Clinic at 607-431-5052, or Bassett Convenient Care at 607-433-6400. Be sure to have health insurance card with you.
