Summer Music Program

After 66 years of artistic production, education, and building its international legacy, Hartwick College has decided to turn the page on its annual Summer Music Festival and begin a new chapter of summer academic offerings for secondary school students, including inspiring music courses, in its Summer College program.

The Festival's successes will live on, however, through several annual, on-campus events during the regular academic year. Campus productions such as the Jazz Festival, Choir Festival, Band Invitational and Rock Orchestra will regularly invite skilled high school musicians to partner with the Department of Music's students and artistic faculty. This will give prospective students a "Taste of ‘Wick" - a better sense of what it feels like to live and learn as a Hartwick College student.

Moving forward, the Department of Music is encouraging participants to take advantage of Hartwick's Summer College for High School Students as well as the College's outstanding Overnight Program, where participants shadow a current Hartwick student in their degree area of interest.
