College Choir
R. Colin Armstrong, director
The Hartwick College Choir is a mixed ensemble of music majors and non-music majors. The Choir performs standard repertoire from the Renaissance through the 20th century. The College Choir performs both on and off campus. In 1998, the Choir had the honor to perform for the NYSSMA (New York State School of Music Association) annual conference in Rochester, N.Y. - the only collegiate level choir invited to perform that year.

It facilitates the comprehension and appreciation of the finest repertoire available for the medium while providing an artistic experience for both players and audiences. The Wind Ensemble is also dedicated to campus outreach in that it serves as the Hartwick Pride Pep Band and as a musical feature at any number of events including graduation, homecoming, building dedications, inaugurations, etc. Hartwick faculty, staff, alumni, and community members regularly participate in this dynamic group.

Jason Curley, director
Each spring, the Wind Ensemble, Chamber Orchestra, rock bands, and vocalists come together to produce a full-length popular music concert featuring classic and modern rock/pop songs. Students assist the director in arranging and orchestrating familar hits such as Bohemian Rhapsody, Born in the USA, Superstition, and Ants Marching.

Musical Madrigal Dinner
Jason Curley, director
Each December, members of the Wind Ensemble and Chamber Choir collaborate to produce a three-course dinner accompanied by a plethora of chamber ensembles, the proceeds of which benefit various charitable causes. Previous beneficiaries include Nursing Students Without Borders, FUMC Jamaica School Fund, and the HCSMF scholarship fund.
