Sustainability First Year Seminar

As part of a unique residential living and learning community, the Pine Lake Institute invites incoming students to enroll in a special First Year Seminar (FYS) called "The Idea and Practice of Sustainability." Through both theory and practice, this interdisciplinary FYS will study the prospects for sustainability in our own lives and in the larger community.

The seminar is taught by Dr. Brian Hagenbuch, Director of the Pine Lake Institute for Environmental and Sustainability Studies at Hartwick College.

Students who sign up for "The Idea and Practice of Sustainability" have the option of living in Robertson Lodge at Hartwick's Pine Lake Environmental Campus.  Enrollment is limited to 14 students a year.

For more information on the seminar, contact Dr. Brian Hagenbuch at 607-431-4518 or hagenbuchb@hartwick.edu.
